What are the music options for my DVD announcement montage?

Life Visions Productions contracts with professional musicians who specialize in writing beautiful instrumental music for our montage videos. These music selections are not only designed to best capture the sentiments surrounding life's most precious moments, but they also protect our clients from the copyright infringement issues associated with using musical recordings without the express consent of recording labels, artists, and publishers. When you order a Life Visions Productions DVD announcement, you can rest assured that your announcements will be highlighted with beautiful instrumental music that is legal for use and respectful to recording artists.

How many pictures should I submit?

The music selections described above are optimized for a 35-picture montage video. For this reason, we recommend that all of our clients submit 35 photographs, however, orders with fewer photographs will be accepted as well.

How do I submit my pictures?

After submitting your order online, you will be prompted to transmit your digital photographs to us using our user-friendly photo uploading system. Each picture is selected individually into a numbered slot on our website that allows you to designate picture order preference. When you have selected all of your photographs, you click "Upload" and the pictures are sequentially uploaded one after another. Depending on your Internet connection speed, it takes anywhere from 10 - 60 minutes for the upload process to complete. You may also submit your photographs to Life Visions Productions by mail (on CD) or e-mail as an alternative.

What size is recommended for my digital pictures?

For optimal viewing, Life Visions Productions recommends a minimum image size of 800x600 pixels. All digital images will be accepted regardless of size; however, the quality and appearance of the images in the final montage will depend on the size of the photographs submitted.

How can I designate my preference for picture order?

When uploading your photographs online, each photograph will be placed individually into a designated numbered slot that allows you to indicate your preference for picture order in the final montage. If you choose to submit your digital photographs via mail or e-mail instead, we ask that you name the images with a numbering scheme to indicate your picture order preference.

How can I submit personalized text for the montage?

During the order process, you have the opportunity to submit your personalized messages that will appear at the beginning and end of the DVD montage. For our DVD birth announcements, the baby's personal information such as name, date of birth, time of birth, and weight will automatically be incorporated into the montage unless you request to leave out these titles.

Which picture is placed on the cover of the DVD face?

If you would like a certain picture to appear on the DVD face, you can note this preference in the "comments" field during the order process. Otherwise, Life Visions Productions will automatically choose the optimal picture that meets the dimension requirements for the DVD face. You will have the opportunity to view this picture selection during the proof approval process.

How long will the photo montage be?

Our montage videos run an average of 3 - 5 minutes. However, the length will vary slightly depending on your music selection and number of photos.

How are the birth announcement cards personalized?

The personalization of our DVD birth announcement cards is added via a framed card insert in the inside left that incorporates all of your baby's personal information including name, date of birth, time of birth, weight, length, etc. Please click here to view our announcement designs. Will I be able to view a proof before the DVD announcements are duplicated?

Absolutely. As part of the production process, a proof is sent to your home so that you can view the card and watch the DVD movie to check for accuracy of the order. Should you request any changes to the DVD announcement at this time, those changes will be made free of charge. After receiving your official approval of the proof, the DVD announcements are duplicated to fulfill your order and changes can no longer be made to the order.

How long will it take for me to receive my completed order?

After submitting your order, production of the DVD proof will be completed within 5 business days of receiving your digital photographs. The DVD proof will be placed in the mail and sent to you at this time. As soon as Life Visions Productions receives your approval on the DVD announcement proof, duplication of the announcements begins. The completed order is usually shipped within 5 business days of receiving your proof approval.

Can I order more copies of my DVD announcement in the future?

Your production files are saved by Life Visions Productions for 90 days following the initial order. Within that timeframe, more copies can be ordered by calling 1-888-LV-PROD-DVD or emailing orders@lifevisionsproductions.com. The charge for additional copies is $7 per DVD announcement ordered.

Can I get a DVD birth announcement made for twins?

Life Visions Productions offers a packaging design specifically for twins. Other than the packaging choice, the twins order is no different than that of an order for a single child. You provide up to 35 photos, select one music selection, and the photos of your twins are incorporated into the announcement for the same cost as an announcement for a single child.

How much do the announcements cost?

Cost varies based on the number and type of DVD announcements ordered. Please click here to view our pricing structure. A minimum order of 25 DVD announcements is required. Sales tax (for clients residing in California) and shipping and handling charges are added to the final total during the order process.

How much does shipping and handling cost?

There are two options for shipping the final DVD announcement order. You can either have the entire order sent to the designated shipping address or you can provide a mailing distribution list and Life Visions Productions will mail the DVD announcements directly to your individual recipients on your behalf.
